Project Description

In this project, I extensively modified a DJI Mini drone to achieve improved water resistance and enhanced signal reliability.

To protect the internal electronics, including the mainboard and control systems, I applied a combination of epoxy sealing, specialized isolation sprays, and custom cooling elements. These modifications ensure that the drone remains operational even in wet or humid environments. Additionally, I upgraded both the drone’s internal antenna and the controller’s antenna. This significantly improved connection stability and extended range, particularly in challenging environments such as urban areas with heavy building density or locations prone to signal interference. The result was a robust, water-resistant DJI Mini drone with superior connectivity, ideal for more demanding applications and adventurous flights.
