Project Description
This was an upcycling project in which an older, still functional humidifier was given a new look using a custom-designed, 3D-printed housing in the shape of a Terminator head.
The humidifier’s original technology remains unchanged; only the exterior was replaced with the 3D-printed component. The project was motivated by the desire to avoid throwing away a working appliance and instead give it a visual upgrade. With its new housing, the humidifier now fits better into the living space, especially for science fiction fans.
The project was also featured in a short segment by SRF1’s “Trick77” and demonstrates how everyday objects can be redesigned and reused with simple means and a bit of creativity.
