Project Description

For this tiny project, I built a high-power fan system to help a friend clean his apartment ventilation and for other demanding use cases.

I repurposed four old HP ProLiant Gen9 server fans, which were no longer in use, and designed a custom mount to house them securely. The mount includes an adapter to fit standard ventilation ducts, allowing easy connection to existing systems. The fans are powered through an integrated socket for a 12V power supply, ensuring reliable and straightforward operation.

For safety, I also designed a protective grille in front of the fans, preventing accidental contact with the spinning blades. The result is a compact, powerful, and versatile ventilation solution, made from high-quality server components and tailored to fit standard ventilation setups.
